Conference therapy program
What is it?
This program is all about fun and play to spark curiosity, create joy and foster engagement run by the dynamic Kaya Lyons and her team from Active OT for Kids. The goal is to provide a quality program of care that supports the unique sensory needs of our children with CHARGE syndrome.
Kaya will set up a meeting with parents/participants to chat about their special care requirements, prior to the conference.
Who is it for?
For individuals with CHARGE syndrome (any age) who have low to high support needs, and for young siblings (0-5 years).

The program will run on both Saturday and Sunday. Here is what the day might look like. Details to be confirmed.
How much does it cost?
$1100 - $1350
Program fees are estimated only and are based on the number of participants and their needs.
Fees for programs should be claimable from a funding package. Speak to your funding planner to check that you can claim. NDIS (Australia) items inlcude:
Individual Social Skills Development (11_024_0117_7_3)
Community Engagement Assistance (15_045_0128_1_3)
People from New Zealand may have access to funding via Enabling Good Lives.
Carers may accompany the individual for this program, if required (fees still apply).
Registration for this program
When you register for the conference, select the Therapy program for the participant. You won’t need to pay for this program at the point of registering. Active OT for Kids will contact you in April to complete the registration. Payment will be made directly to them, prior to the conference.
Spaces are limited. Registrations close: 31 March 2024.
About Active OT for Kids
Therapists hold current registration with AHPRA and adhere to the professional development training requirements each year. Each professional has public liability and the organisation has Workers Compensation and public liability. Security of data is in line with childsafe requirements. Halaxy database is used as per AACRA and OT Australia accreditation. All staff have completed NDIS safeguards and mental health training as well as current Working With Children Police checks.
