Alternative conference programs

There will be alternative programs for people with CHARGE syndrome and siblings. The alternative programs include:

  1.  Adults with CHARGE Syndrome by Dr Kasee Stratton-Gadke - a closed group that runs over the two days

  2. Therapy Program - activities over the two days that meet individual sensory and regulation needs.

  3. Connections Program - three types of activities, depending on ages and needs:

    1. Activities in a dedicated room

    2. Excursions in Olympic Park such as swimming at the Aquatic centre, walking, table tennis

  4. Workshops - these will be short (2 hour) sessions on topics such as social skills, online safety, being a sibling. These workshops will run over the weekend and be available to both conference registrant's, as well as guests (for example, siblings who are not attending the conference.) Details TBD.

Which program?

Children 5 years and under

Can attend the Therapy program or can come to the main conference with you.

Children with CHARGE 6 to 17 years with high support needs

Can attend the Therapy program or can come to the main conference with you.

Children with CHARGE 6 to 17 years with low support needs

Can attend the Therapy program or the Connections program.

Adults with CHARGE with high support needs

Can attend the Therapy program.

Adults with CHARGE with low support needs

Can attend the Adults stream of the main conference or the Therapy program or the Connections program.

Siblings 6 to 17 years

Can attend the Connections program.

Siblings adult

Can attend excursions, workshops (part of the Connections program).

Registration for the programs

When you register for the conference, select the alternative programs you require. You won’t need to pay for these programs at the point of registering. The program providers will contact you in April to complete the registration. Payment will be made directly to the provider, prior to the conference.
