Deafblindness is a combined vision and hearing impairment of such severity that one sense cannot compensate for the other. CHARGE syndrome is a leading cause of congenital deafblindness.
Deafblind Awareness Week
Deafblind Awareness Week is held during the last week in June. This year it ran from 22 to 29 June, 2025.
CHARGE Syndrome Australasia joined other leading national community organisations, service providers and researchers supporting the needs of people living with deafblindness in raising awareness of this distinct disability.
